With Michael Dick forced all-in from the big blind for his last 50,000, Heinz Traut made it 100,000 from the hijack before Peter Jesko jammed for 285,000 from the button. When it got back to Traut he called with the chance to bust two players.
Michael Dick: K♥7♠
Peter Jesko;: 9♥9♣
Heinz Traut: A♠8♣
Jesko just needed his pair of nines to hold up to send Dick to the rail, and more than double up.
Jesko's pocket nines remained as the best hand throughout the Q♣5♣5♦10♠6♣ runout, which meant Dick was out in 14th, and Jssko was uo to over 600,000.
Denis Turay opened to 100,000 from the hijack and faced Algirdas Saveikis, who defended from the big blind.
Turay continued for 125,000 on the 9♣4♦6♦ and was called, then Saveikis led out for 335,000 on the 9♦ turn. It only took a second for Turay to fold.
Michael Dick raised to 105,000 in middle position and Heinz Traut called on the button.
The flop came K♣6♠2♥ and Dick bet 70,000. Traut called to the 10♣ turn, where Dick bet another 200,000. Traut again called.
The river was the A♥ and Dick moved all in. Traut snap-called and Dick let out a loud sigh and stood up from his seat as he tossed 7♣7♦ onto the table. Traut turned over 6♣6♦ for a set.
The stacks were counted down, and Dick had Traut's remaining 970,000 covered by just 25,000.
Or Nezer came in with a min-raise to 100,000 from the hijack and Florin Bilan defended his big blind.
Bilan opted to lead out for 75,000 upon seeing the 9♦2♦2♣ flop. Nezer continued in the form of a call.
A 10♣ rolled off on the turn and Bilan jammed for 300,000. Nezer tank-folded, and Bilan was awarded the pot.
Three-way on a flop of 7♠A♥8♦, Peter Jesko under the gun bet 100,000. Michael Dick in the hijack folded, but Catalin Diac in the big blind check-called.
Both players checked the 3♥ turn leading to the 4♠ river that Diac checked again. Jesko checked back but lost to Diac's 9♥7♦.
Ivan Tikhov raised to 400,000 in the hijack, leaving a 25,000 chip behind, and tossed it in after Michael Dick shoved on the button.
Ivan Tikhov: A♥8♦
Michael Dick: A♠J♣
Tikhov was dominated and at risk going to the 9♣10♦5♦ flop. The 3♣ turn was no help, while the 2♦ river secured the pot for Dick and sent Tikhov to the rail in 15th place.
Steffen Kaschel opened to 125,000 from under the gun and called after Tobias Peters in middle position three-bet to 300,000.
Kaschel checked the 4♣6♠J♠ flop, Peters moved all-in and Kaschel folded.
In the next hand, Jose Puertas opened from the button, Kaschel jammed for 155,000 and Puertas called.
Steffen Kaschel: 8♦5♠
Jose Puertas: K♣8♣
Both players hit the same pair on A♠8♠10♥9♣Q♣, so Kaschel was eliminated.
Matteo Intiso raised to 100,000 in early position and Quang Dinh reraised to 150,000 in middle position. Intiso then moved all in.
Dinh stood up to watch the action on the other table and asked the floor how much time he was allowed. Another tablemate eventually called the clock, and Dinh stuck in his last 40,000.
Quang Dinh: A♦7♦
Matteo Intiso: K♦Q♥
Neither player connected with the 2♥3♣5♣8♦J♠ board, and Dinh's ace-high was good enough for him to double up.
