Christian Schneider Eliminated in 10th Place (€5,000) and Kevin Fluegel Eliminated in 9th Place (€6,355)

Level 28 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Christian Schneider

Kevin Fluegel opened to 240,000 from the cutoff, and received a call from Rene Schnitzler on the button. Short-stack Christian Schneider was in the big blind, and he called, leaving himself 180,000 behind.

On the 963 flop, action was checked to Schnitzler, who fired out a bet of 375,000. Schneider moved all in for his 180,000, before Fluegel responded with a raise to 1,200,000, leaving himself almost nothing behind. Schnitzler immediately rejammed and Fluegel called off.

Kevin Fluegel: 1010 All in
Rene Schnitzler: J9

Fluegel was ahead with his overpair tens, while Schneider had a flush draw, and Schnitzler had top pair nines.

The 5 turn was a brick, but the 9 hit on the river to give Schnitzler trip nines and a double knockout, setting a final table of eight.

A short break will take place while the final table is prepared.

Antonio Fragale
Antonio Fragale

Action folded to Darius Neagoe who moved all in from the small blind. Antonio Fragale immediately called out to his rail as he snap-called for 3,100,000.

Antonio Fragale: 88 All in
Darius Neagoe: K8

Fragale was ahead with his eights, but Neagoe spiked a king on the K5A flop to leave Fragale with just one out. No miracles arrived on the 2 turn or 6 river, and Fragale was long gone from the table by the time the dealer pushed his chips over to Neagoe.

Scott Reynolds

Scott Reynolds had jammed the previous hand from under the gun to boost his short stack by fifty percent and was then in the big blind next.

Darius Neagoe raised to 400,000 on the button and the Brit jammed for 1,300,000 from the big blind. After asking for the count, Neagoe called.

Scott Reynolds: QJ All in
Darius Neagoe: A3

The board ran out 107623 and Reynolds bowed out in seventh place for €10,850. All six remaining players have now locked up a WSOPE Main Event ticket worth €10,350 as part of their prize as well.

Neagoe's friends pulled the bounty right away and secured him another €1,500.

First to act, Georgios Tsouloftas pushed all in for 2,675,000, and Rene Schnitzler moved all in over the top from the next seat with the marginally covering stack. All other players folded, and the cards were revealed.

Georgios Tsouloftas: KQ All in
Rene Schnitzler: 99

The board ran out 653J10 and Tsouloftas briefly showed his fist, which confused Schnitzler.

"You scared me," the German grimaced. His stack of 3,175,000 covered, and the Cypriot bowed out in sixth place for €25,050, which includes the €10,350 WSOPE Main Event entry.

Josef Gulas raised to 1,400,000 in the cutoff and Rene Schnitzler moved all in from the big blind. Gulas called for an additional 500,000.

Josef Gulas: KJ All in
Rene Schnitzler: A10

Schnitzler remained in the lead with his ace going to the river as the board came 9846, but Gulas hit the 3 to make a flush and double up.

A few hands later, Darius Neagoe raised to 400,000 in the cutoff, Matthias Gude shoved for 1,450,000 in the small blind, and Neagoe called.

Matthias Gude: KJ All in
Darius Neagoe: Q7

Neither player connected with the 10109A6 board, and Gude's king-kicker was enough to earn him a double up.

Matthias Gude moved all in from the small blind and Josef Gulas called for his last 600,000 in the big blind.

Josef Gulas: 96 All in
Matthias Gude: 105

The board ran out 4KA73 and Gude took the pot with ten-high to send Gulas to the rail in fifth place.

"The one who said no to a break is gone, so can we go now? Five minutes," Rene Schnitzler asked, again bringing up the subject of taking a quick break. Darius Neagoe, though, said he wanted to continue playing.

"I want to play the Main Event tomorrow," Neagoe said.

"Me also," Schnitzler replied.

Schnitzler then raised to 600,000 under the gun and Neagoe called in the big blind. Schnitzler continued for 350,000 on the KJ3 flop, and Neagoe called.

Schnitzler bet another 900,000 on the 7 turn, and this time Neagoe folded. "Flush draw," Schnitzler said, showing A8 as he took the pot.

Darius Neagoe

"The last nine minutes you have a chance to beat me. After I smoke, no chance," Rene Schnitzler said, holding his pack of cigarettes in his hand and carefully watching the tournament clock tick down towards the next break.

Darius Neagoe then raised to 600,000 under the gun, and Schnitzler three-bet to 1,100,000 on the button. "Finally, he finds ace-king," Schnitzler said. Neagoe called to see the A108 flop.

"He just called," Schnitzler said to Neagoe's supporters sitting behind him. Both players checked to the 5 turn, where Schnitzler bet 800,000. Neagoe then raised to 2,000,000, Schnitzler came back with a reraise to 4,000,000, and Neagoe called.

The 4 river was checked down, and Neagoe showed 55 for a set. "Nice hand," Schnitzler said as he mucked.

Matthias Gude moved all in for 1,000,000 under the gun as action folded to Rene Schnitzler in the big blind. "I have a bad hand. Good luck friend," he said as he called.

Matthias Gude: K7 All in
Rene Schnitzler: J3

Gude hit top pair on the K10Q flop, while Schnitzler picked up a straight draw. The 5 turn was safe for Gude, while the river was the 3, and he doubled up.

The next hand, Elia Salerno raised to 2,000,000 under the gun, Gude shoved from the big blind, and Salerno called for an additional 25,000.

Elia Salerno: A4 All in
Matthias Gude: 22

"Fair fight," Schnitzler said, and the 102Q flop gave Gude a set. The turn was the 9, while the A arrived too late to save Salerno as he was eliminated in fourth place.

Matthias Gude moved all in for 5,800,000 in the small blind, and Darius Neagoe waited for the dealer to confirm the amount before calling.

Matthias Gude: A7 All in
Darius Neagoe: A8

Gude was dominated and at risk going to the flop, which came Q52. The 2 turn gave him a flush draw while also opening the possibility of a chop, but Neagoe remained ahead on the 4 river to send Gude to the rail in third place.

"My friend. Good luck. Can I have a smoke break now?" Rene Schnitzler asked Neagoe as he came over to shake his hand. Neagoe agreed, and they headed off on a five-minute break before beginning heads-up play.
