Ian Simpson leads the field into Day 2
Ian Simpson leads the field into Day 2

The final tournament week of the 2025 World Series of Poker Europe has officially commenced in Europe's largest poker arena at the King's Resort in Rozvadov. Twelve of the 15 gold bracelets have already been awarded and another three are up for grabs, one of which will be handed out this evening or perhaps in the early morning hours of tomorrow when Event #12: €1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Mystery Million is set to conclude.

At 2 p.m. local time, 104 players out of 693 entries will return to their seats to battle for €903,060 in cash and bounty prizes after making it to the money in their two starting days. Several big names can be found in the overnight top ten and 888poker ambassador Ian Simpson leads the way as the only player above 100 big blinds with 856,000 at his disposal.

Estonia's Urmo Velvelt follows behind with that 774,000 and Manig Loeser is only two big blinds behind with 756,000. Likewise, Mauricio Salazar Sanchez (751,000) and Georgios Tsouloftas (722,000) also have very healthy stacks for the hunt of the big bounty prizes throughout the day.

Several bracelet winners are still in contention outside of the top ten such as Darius Neagoe (461,000), Event #5: €1,350 Mini Main Event champion Yuhan Wang (362,000), Ranno Sootla (321,000), Christopher Campisano (178,000), Event #7: €550 No-Limit Hold'em Colossus winner Jose Gomez Casillas (123,000), Pawel Wojciechowski (118,000), as well as Fabio Peluso (110,000).

All players have locked up at least €1,715 for their efforts so far but they will aim for the €100,350 top prize that awaits for the eventual champion. That figure also includes a seat to the 2025 WSOP Europe €10,350 Main Event which will officially kick off the following day with its first flight. The top six players will all secure the seat as part of their cash prizes.

Besides the cash prizes, the Mystery Bounty prizes will play a big role throughout the day with €500 as lowest prize available. The top four bounties not only represent a big boost for the bankroll but also include the WSOPE Main Event seat as well with €75,000 as the largest bounty, worth more than second place in the tournament.

The final day recommences with blinds of 4,000-8,000 and a big blind ante of 8,000. With a level duration of 40 minutes each throughout to keep the action locked and loaded. The PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor to provide all of the action until a winner has been crowned here at King's Resort in Rozvadov.

Flush over Flush for Sootla

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ranno Sootla
Ranno Sootla

Nicolas Perren moved all in for 100,000 from early position, and was looked up by Ranno Sootla.

Nicolas Perren: AK All in
Ranno Sootla: A10

Perren had Sootla dominated, but he was shaking his head after the 953 flop, Perren holding the second nut flush draw, but Sootla holding the ace of hearts.

Perren's intuition was correct, as the 8 hit on the turn to leave him drawing dead, the 3 river completing the board.

Tsouloftas Busts Vella in Big Pot

Georgios Tsouloftas
Georgios Tsouloftas

"Bounty hunting," Georgios Tsouloftas said with a big smirk on the face while he was busy stacking a ton of chips over on table 101. On the turn of a 954J2 board, he had gotten it in against the only other large stack at the table with J9 and Marco Vella held KK for the overpair.

The river bricked and the Cypriot soared to seven figures in the second level of the day.

Neagoe Ousts Ouaret in Brutal Fashion

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Darius Neagoe
Darius Neagoe

Darius Neagoe opened to 20,000 from the button, and Djamel Ouaret produced a three-bet to 305,000 from the small blind, leaving himself around 30,000 behind.

Neagoe thought things through for a bit, and four-bet jammed with the covering stack, receiving a snap-call from Ouaret.

Djamel Ouaret: AQ All in
Darius Neagoe: 88

It was a fair fight, but the ace was in the window on the AK5 flop.

It was followed by the A on the turn to give Ouaret trip aces, and it seemed almost certain a double-up was heading his way.

However in brutal fashion, Neagoe hit a two-outer on the river with the 8.

Ouaret sprang up out of his chair in disbelief, throwing his hands up in the air and cursing the poker gods in French, before taking a photo of the runout before he left.

Daniel Nagy moved all in for 65,000 in early position, Florian Kraft shoved for 175,000 in the hijack, while Rene Majed stuck in his last 100,000 in the cutoff. Stanislav Koleno, meanwhile, called under the gun to put all three opponents at risk.

Daniel Nagy: 55 All in
Rene Majed: AA All in

Majed showed down two aces as the four players saw the flop come K39. Kraft hit top pair, but Majed held on through the 2 turn and 6 river to secure the pot.

Nagy was eliminated, while Majed tripled up off Kraft and Koleno. Kraft, meanwhile, took the side pot off Koleno with his pair of kings.

Jaros, Grubinger Chop Up Sabishchenko's Bounty

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Patrik Jaros
Patrik Jaros

Rostyslav Sabishchenko was all in for his last 25,000 from the small blind as Patrik Jaros on the button and Marcel Grubinger in the cutoff built a side pot on the 584 flop.

Jaros then bet 30,000 and Grubinger called. The turn was the 10 and Jaros moved all in. Grubinger quickly called for his last 180,000 and turned over 106 for top pair and straight draw, while Jaros had A6 and Sabishchenko KQ.

The 7 river gave Jaros and Grubinger the same straight, and Sabishchenko was sent to the rail. The floor had to be called over to determine what to do with his bounty. "Put your hands together like this and press the button," the tournament official joked, placing his hands over each other, while they waited for a decision to be made.

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Pascal Pflock
Pascal Pflock

Pascal Pflock moved all in from middle position for 120,000, and Vytautas Baltrusaitis rejammed from the button for around 490,000.

Mariusz Golinski was in the small blind, and he didn't take long before moving his 315,000 total stack into the middle, to create a three-way all-in.

Pascal Pflock: 88 All in
Mariusz Golinski: AK All in
Vytautas Baltrusaitis: QQ

Baltrusaitis had the best of it, but the king was in the window on the KJ6 flop, much to his disgust.

Golinski was now in front, and there were no surprises on the J turn or 4 river.

Rene Majed

Marcel Grubinger raised to 25,000 under the gun and Scott Reynolds moved all in for 172,000 in the small blind. Vitaliy Kryza then reshoved for 235,000 in the big blind, and Grubinger called to put him opponents at risk.

Scott Reynolds: AQ All in
Vitaliy Kryza: 77 All in
Marcel Grubinger: K10

The Q99 flop gave Reynolds two pair, while the 9 turn improved him to a full house. The river was the 5 and he tripled up, while Kryza's sevens held against Grubinger to earn him the small side pot.

At the same time at another table, Rene Majed and Ridvan Sare got all their chips in the middle, Sare in the small blind and Majed under the gun.

Rene Majed: JJ All in
Ridvan Sare: KK

Majed had run his jacks into Sare's kings, and Sare ended up hitting a set on the 31084K board to secure the pot. The stacks were counted down, and Majed's 380,000 was covered by Sare's 440,000 as Majed was sent to the rail.
