Max Neugebauer

The final day of the 2025 World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) has arrived and two winners will be crowned today, both walking home with the coveted gold bracelet. All eyes will be set on the conclusion of the €10,350 Main Event at Europe's biggest poker arena in the King’s Resort, Rozvadov with eight hopefuls out of 659 entries returning to their seats on the live stream feature table. remain in contention for the lion's share of the €6,138,585 total prize pool with the top prize of €1,140,000 on everyone's mind.

Max Neugebauer is the third player in WSOP Europe history to reach the final table of the Main Event for the second time and sits in a prime position to repeat his victory from 2023 as he returns second in chips with 11,025,000 in chips. The only one ahead of the Austrian is Brazil's Murilo Garcia Pedroso with 13,400,000 while several other hopefuls are in close proximity.

European live poker veteran Claudio Di Giacomo (10,250,000) and Daniel Pidun (9,850,000) are separated by two big blinds only whereas Gerald Karlic (7,900,000), Teemu Jaatinen (6.975,000) and Catalin Pop (5,025,000) sit in the middle of the pack with at least 20 big blinds for the start of the grand finale.

The table short stack is Matthias Gude with 1,500,000, which represents a mere six big blinds. Gude won his entry to the flagship tournament one day prior to kick-off after he reached third place in Event #12: €1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Mystery Million and knows what it takes to combat the long hours.
