Tarlev Good at Showdown
Level 4
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Petru Tarlev opened to 1,500 from middle position, and was met with a three-bet to 5,000 from Vasyl Vorynka in the hijack. Action folded back to Tarlev, who called.
On the 9♣7♦3♥ flop, Tarlev check-called a bet of 4,000 from Vornyka.
The same pattern followed on the 2♥ turn, this time in respect of a bet of 13,000 from Vornyka.
The 10♠ hit on the river and was checked through. Tarlev confidently tabled 8♠8♣ for third pair eights, and that was good enough to force Vornyka to muck.
