Sharanshi Takes Three-Bet Pot in 'Strange Hand'
Level 4
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
There was an open to 1,500 and a call, before Mustafa Sharanshi called on the button. Bruno De Souza was in the small blind, and he produced a three-bet to 8,000. Only Sharanshi called.
The 7♣6♠2♥ flop was checked to the K♦ turn, where De Souza check-called a bet of 5,000 from Sharanshi.
The Q♥ river completed the board, and De Souza checked once more. Sharanshi slid out a bet of 10,000, and De Souza went into the tank.
Eventually the clock was called, and as time was about to run out, De Souza open-folded K♣ for top pair kings, leading to a raised eyebrow from Sharanshi as he raked in the pot.
"The title for this one is 'Strange Hand'", joked Andrei Birgaoanu, sitting beside the protagonists.
