Quads for Di Giacomo
Level 4
: Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
On a full board of 4♣6♣Q♥5♠5♣, there were around 40,000 in the pot when Claudio Di Giacomo bet 11,500 from under the gun. Yannick Jobin was in the hijack and needed to think for some time before he settled on a call.
Di Giacomo then showed 5♥5♦ for quads, while Jobin flipped the nut flush holding A♣K♣ before it got mucked.
"Would you call if he shoved?" asked Adrian Cazacu to Di Giacomo.
Di Giacomo looked bewildered and said that he would, but Cazacu was quick to remind him that quads was not the nuts and a straight flush was possible.
