Pidun Wins Pot With The "Nuts"
Level 27
: Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Gerald Karlic made it 240,000 to go and was called only by Daniel Pidun in the big blind, which led them to the 6♦4♣2♠ flop. Pidun opted to check-call for 180,000, and Catalin Pop joked to Max Neugebauer, "Five-three always nuts."
The 4♦ turn was checked, and the same also applied for the K♠ on the river. Pidun flipped over 3♣3♠ and Karlic mucked his cards high, exposing a black jack for a split second.
"Nuts, nuts," Pidun said while he raked in the pot.
