Pidun's Ace Decimates Di Giacomo
Level 29
: Blinds 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Claudio Di Giacomo opened to 400,000 with the K♥9♥ from an early position and Murilo Garcia three-bet to 1,050,000 in the cutoff holding the K♠10♠. All players behind them got out of the way and the Italian also let go.
In the next hand, Di Giacomo picked up the Q♥Q♦ and bumped it up to 400,000 once again. Daniel Pidun called right behind with the A♦7♦ and they headed to the A♥J♦4♠ flop. The Italian continued for 275,000 and Pidun went nowhere with his top pair, bringing them to the 2♣ on the turn.
Di Giacomo bet 525,000 and Pidun called, the K♦ river then completed the board. Both players checked and Pidun won the pot.
