Kabrhel Pressures Alt

Level 18 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Martin Kabrhel
Martin Kabrhel

Martin Kabrhel has been telling Dinesh Alt he is going to be the bubble boy for around the last hour, and here Kabrhel, who has been opening every hand since hand-for-hand play commenced, opened to 32,000 into Alt's big blind.

On the J86 flop, Alt check-called versus a bet of 24,000 from Kabrhel.

The same pattern followed on the 5 turn, this time in respect of a bet of 75,000 from the Czech.

The Q river completed the board. Alt checked once more, and Kabrhel jammed with the covering stack.

Alt asked for a count, but folded after some deliberation.

Jungevicius Bubbles the 2025 WSOPE Main Event

Level 18 : Blinds 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante
Kestutis Jungevicius Eliminated on the Bubble
Kestutis Jungevicius Eliminated on the Bubble

On the direct bubble, Kestutis Jungevicius min-raised to 32,000 from early position, and Ran Ilani called out of the big blind.

Ilani checked the A89 flop, prompting Jungevicius to fire a continuation-bet of 16,000. Ilani check-jammed for Jungevicius' stack of 395,000, and Jungevicius snap-called. Once the other tables had completed their hands and the cameras arrived, the players revealed their cards with Jungevicius at risk.

Kestutis Jungevicius: AA All in
Ran Ilani: 76

Jungevicius currently had the nuts with a set of aces, but Ilani had outs in the form of a straight draw.

A 10 rolled off on the turn to improve Ilani to a straight, and meant Jungevicius needed a board-pairing river to stay alive and keep the tournament on the bubble.

The dealer burned a card, then dealt the 2 to complete the board. Ilani's straight held up, and Jungevicius was the bubble boy of the 2025 WSOPE Main Event.

Michael Sklenicka and Daniel Pidun built a pot of around 240,000 as they went heads-up to the 87J flop. Both players checked and the 6 fell on the turn.

Sklenicka then led out for 120,000 from the small blind and Pidun called on the button. The river was the K and Sklenicka then bet 122,000.

Pidun came back with a raise to 430,000, sending Sklenicka into the tank. He took around two minutes before calling, and Pidun showed A10 for ace-high. Sklenicka turned over J10 for a pair of jacks to win the massive pot.

"Very nice hand. Lucky, lucky," tablemate Lulei Hu said to Sklenicka after the hand.

Peter Cieslik
Peter Cieslik

A pot of at least 400,000 had developed by the river, on a board of 1031084, in a hand between Murilo Garcia under the gun and Peter Cieslik in the hijack.

Garcia checked, and Cieslik fired out a bet of 245,000. After some thought, Garcia responded with a check-raise to 800,000 just covering Cieslik's remaining stack.

After a reasonable period of thought, Cieslik called. Garcia tabled A6 for the ace-high flush, and Cieslik nodded and tabled AA, wishing the table good luck as he departed.

Bartlomiej Muzacz

A massive pot was already brewing between Bartlomiej Muzacz and Cheng Zhao as they went to the turn on a board of A375. Muzacz then bet 500,000 from early position and Zhao called in the cutoff.

The river was the 8 and Muzacz moved all in for 223,000. Zhao took a minute before calling, and Muzacz turned over A5 for two pair. Zhao mucked AK and Muzacz let out a loud yell as he scored the double up.

"I think that's a big pot," Marco Di Persio, observing the action from another table, said.

"Can somebody help me?" he asked the table as an enormous pile of chips was pushed in his direction.

"It will cost you," tablemate Boris Kuzmanovic replied.
