Kabrhel Pressures Alt

Martin Kabrhel has been telling Dinesh Alt he is going to be the bubble boy for around the last hour, and here Kabrhel, who has been opening every hand since hand-for-hand play commenced, opened to 32,000 into Alt's big blind.

On the J♥8♥6♦ flop, Alt check-called versus a bet of 24,000 from Kabrhel.

The same pattern followed on the 5♥ turn, this time in respect of a bet of 75,000 from the Czech.

The Q♦ river completed the board. Alt checked once more, and Kabrhel jammed with the covering stack.

Alt asked for a count, but folded after some deliberation.

A pot of 480,000 had developed by the turn on K♥J♣7♣9♦, with Dirk Langer all-in, and Gerald Karlic and Ferdinando D'Alessio still active in the pot.

The turn was checked to the 2♣ river, where D'Alessio folded to a bet of 100,000 from Karlic.

Karlic tabled Q♥10♦ for the turned nut king-high straight, and Langer tabled K♦Q♠ as he took his leave.

We are now in hand-for-hand play.

Aleksandar Tomovic moved all in from the cutoff for 113,000, and action folded to Serkan Kuru in the big blind.

He peeled one card, and said "It's good." He then gave a time bank a kiss for good luck as he passed it to the dealer, and peeled his second card, before immediately putting in calling chips.

Kabrhel Talks Alt into Call

Martin Kabrhel has been making hay as the bubble approaches, in almost every hand at his table. Here, he opened to 25,000 and Dinesh Alt defended the big blind.

"Worst call in poker history, good luck bubble boy" said Kabrhel as the K♣J♥10♥ flop was dealt.

"I think you've lost, can you just muck your hand", asked Kabrhel, as Alt check-called a bet of 12,000 from the Czech.

The 8♦ turn was checked through, and as the dealer prepared to put out the river, Kabrhel shouted "Quuueeeenn".

As if by command, the Q♦ hit on the river, leading to Kabrhel screeching in delight and high-fiving the dealer.

Alt checked, and Kabrhel fired out a bet of 56,000. Alt reluctantly called, and saw the bad news when Kabrhel tabled A♦6♥ for the rivered one-card straight.

Pidun Mangles Mangal in Cooler

Daniel Pidun opened to 30,000 from the hijack, and received a call from Lulei Hu on the button, before Vikrant Mangal three-bet to 165,000, leaving himself around 65,000 behind.

Pidun took a bit of time for thought and rejammed, forcing out Hu, and Mangal quickly got the rest of his stack into the middle.

In a brutal cooler, Mangal had run kings into aces near the bubble.

The Q♣J♦10♥ flop was about as sweaty as it could get for Pidun, but much to his delight, Mangal bricked the 6♣ turn and 10♣ river.

Solver Hand Helps Asmolov Get Rid of Strobel

Timofey Asmolov made it 25,000 from middle position before Adrian Strobel three-bet to around 75,000 from the hijack. After the blinds folded, Asmolov burned through two of his time banks before four-bet ripping it for Strobel's stack of around 500,000. Strobel snap-called.

Asmolov turned over his ace-five and one of his tablemates said, "Solver hand bro!".

Asmolov was in rough shape against Strobel's big slick and found no help on the A♠7♠3♦ flop as Strobel's king-kicker kept him out in front. Asmolov picked up a straight draw when the 6♦ hit the turn. The dealer peeled off the 5♠ on the river, giving Asmolov two pair and sending Strobel to the exit just shy of the money.

"This dealer is very expensive," tablemate Dimitrios Gkatzas added.

Kobylynski Busts Pazma in Huge Pot

Around 500,000 was in the middle, on a flop of J♥8♥3♣, in a hand between Lukas Pazma in the hijack and Artem Kobylynskyi in the cutoff.

The all-in triangle was in front of Pazma, and the dealer was counting out his chips, with the total coming to 848,000.

Kobylynskyi, who covered Pazma, was in the tank, shaking his head, but all of a sudden he put in a calling chip.

Pazma was on the flush draw with a pair of threes, and was in trouble versus Kobylynskyi's overpair kings.

Much to Kobylynskyi's delight, Pazma bricked the 6♠ turn and J♦ river. A huge pot goes to Kobylynskyi, the most significant hand of the tournament so far.

Action folded back to Speranzoni, who took some time for thought before four-bet jamming with the covering stack. Di Giacomo quickly moved his 475,000 total stack into the middle.

Cucchiara was ahead with big slick, but Alt had a hand with a lot of potential.

The dealer fanned out the flop of 4♣J♥J♠ to propel Alt into the lead with trips. Cucchiara hit a pair on the A♣ turn to give him a glimmer of hope, but the 5♣ river vanquished those hopes. Alt's trip jacks earned him the pot and sent Cucchiara to the rail.
