Budac caught a pair on the 4♥8♠J♦ flop, but no chips went in as they checked to the 4♠ turn. Again, they checked to the 2♥ river, where Budac bet 2,500,000 with his pair of eights. Kohl called with his rivered pair of deuces, and then mucked when he saw he was beat.

Kohl then got a walk before he looked down at Q♠10♥ and limped in. Budac checked his option with 9♦8♥ from the big blind.

The flop came 7♥6♥7♠ and both players knuckled to the 9♠ turn, which gave Budac a pair. Again both players checked and the 5♦ river drew a bet of 1,800,000 from Budac, which got Kohl to fold.

The Q♠Q♦J♦ flop left open the possibility of a chop, but the 5♠ turn and 7♥ river kept Kohl in the lead with his ten-kicker and earned him a double up, while Vittek was left with less than a big blind.

The next hand, Kohl limped in from the button and Vittek tossed in his last 900,000 in the small blind. Budac checked his option.

Kohl and Budac checked to the turn on a board of 4♣4♥3♦9♣, when a bet of 1,000,000 from Budac was enough to chase away Kohl.

Budac had a chance to jump into the chip lead, and would do so if his big slick could hold on. A flop of 7♣8♥5♦ was safe for Budac, but the 9♠ turn made things sweaty as Kohl picked up a straight draw.

The 2♠ river was a welcome sight for Budac as his ace-high held on, which meant he was the new chip leader.
