Jan Bendik raised to 100,000 under the gun, Tjan Tepeh moved all in for 390,000 in the small blind, and Bendik called.
Tjan Tepeh: 7♥7♣
Jan Bendik: A♦10♠
Tepeh needed his pair to hold to keep his tournament hopes alive, but the A♠3♣10♥ flop gave Bendik two pair and the lead. The rest of the board ran out Q♠2♦ and Tepeh was sent to the rail.
Nino Goettmann opened from the hijack to 40,000 and Sascha Hausner called in the cutoff. Herbert Kern also called from the big blind.
The three saw a flop of 3♠A♦10♦ and when it got to Goettmann, he continued for 40,000. Hausner called, and Kern let his cards go.
A 9♥ on the turn checked through to the 8♣ river, where Goettmann thought for a while before he slid out a bet of 100,000. Hausner didn't need to think for too long before he called.
Goettmann was hesitant to show, but eventually flipped Q♠7♠ for just queen-high. Hausner had that beat with a pair of tens holding J♣10♣, which earned him the pot.
Moments later, Slavomir Rakovan couldn't spin up his short stack of a few big blinds, which meant he was eliminated.
Vitalii Shcherba three-bet to 150,000 on the button before Vagke Sagkinian four-bet to 330,000 in the hijack. Shcherba called and they saw a flop of 8♠3♦K♠.
Sagkinian then bet 200,000, Shcherba moved all in for 380,000, and Sagkinian snap-called.
Vitalii Shcherba: A♠Q♠
Vagke Sagkinian: A♥A♣
Sagkinian showed down two aces, while Shcherba was on the nut flush draw. The Q♦ turn gave Shcherba more outs, but he missed the 5♦ river and Sagkinian scored the massive knockout.
At another table, Pietro Compagnoni raised to 40,000 in the cutoff and Christian Huettinger moved all in for 220,000 on the button. Erkan Karakas then reraised to 520,000 in the big blind, and Compagnoni got out of the way.
Christian Huettinger: 8♥8♦
Erkan Karakas: 10♣10♥
The board ran out 7♥2♥2♦K♥4♦ and Karakas' tens stayed in the lead to send Huettinger to the rail.
Jan Bendik made it 40,000 to go from middle position before Gabriel Rymar shoved for 325,000 out of the hijack. Bendik quickly called when the action got back to him.
Gabriel Rymar: J♠J♥
Jan Bendik: A♥K♥
It was one of poker's classic coolers as the dealer put down a flop of Q♥6♥8♣ to give Bendik a flush draw. Bendik paired his king on the K♣ turn as the 10♠ completed the board.
Rymar headed to the rail, while Bendik moved up to over a million.
Valerik Malkhasian moved all in for 190,000 under the gun as action folded around to Nino Goettmann in the small blind. He attempted to reraise, but the dealer informed him he didn't put in enough and his action stood as just a call. The big blind folded, leaving Goettmann and Malkhasian heads-up.
Valerik Malkhasian: 8♠8♥
Nino Goettmann: J♦J♥
The flop came A♥9♥4♥, while the 3♥ turn gave Goettmann a flush and left Malkhasian drawing dead. The 2♥ river was a mere formality as Goettmann continued his climb up the chip counts.
A huge pot was just pushed in Javier Francort's direction, which brought his stack toward the two-million mark.
The full action was unknown, but Francort was in the cutoff and had Felix Seelentag at risk from the small blind for his stack of around 500,000 after a series of raises preflop.
Felix Seelentag: 6♠6♣
Javier Francort: A♦A♣
Francort had the goods with pocket aces, and didn't need to sweat as the 9♠3♥K♠7♣A♥ runout left him with a set and a monster stack.
Maksym Tsyhryk min-raised the button to 30,000 before Patrik Banko three-bet to 75,000 out of the small blind. Tsyhryk four-bet to 140,000, which Banko called.
The dealer fanned out a flop of 7♦7♠4♠ and Banko started out with a check. Tsyhryk bet 50,000, and was met by an immediate check-shove for 220,000 by Banko. Tsyhryk reluctantly called.
Patrik Banko: K♥J♦
Maksym Tsyhryk: A♣K♦
Tsyhryk was way out in front with ace-high and only a jack on the turn or river could save Banko. The rest of the board came 10♠8♥, and all of Banko's chips headed over to Tsyhryk.
