Shcherba thought he was miles ahead, but was surprised to see he was up against the bullets of Sanz. The hand was all but over on the J♥A♥7♥ flop as Sanz made top set, which left Shcherba needing running cards.
One of those appeared on the 9♥ turn, which meant a heart on the river would see them chop up the pot. Instead, the 5♠ rolled off, and Sanz doubled up.
Not a fun hand for Shcherba, but at least he can be thankful that Sanz only had a handful of big blinds.
