Zaitsev Gets There on the River to Bust Saka

Level 21 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Alain Saka moved all in for 144,000 in middle position and Mikhail Zaitsev reshoved for 330,000 in the cutoff. Mohamed Saeg was on the button and clapped his hands together as he leaned back in his seat to consider the decision. "Good timing," Saka joked with him.

Saeg ended up folding, while small blind Alexey Mishuk also pretended to call before also sending his cards into the muck.

Alain Saka: A10 All in
Mikhail Zaitsev: 1010

"Good spot," Saka said once the cards were revealed, and he was proven right when the AK9 flop gave him top pair. The turn was the 5, but the 4 river improved Zaitsev to a flush.

"Almost," Saka, who finished runner-up in this event in 2023, added as he went off to the rail.
