Kevin Fluegel three-bet to 125,000 on the button before Ippokratis Aslanoglou four-bet to 310,000 in early position. Fluegel then moved all in, and Aslanoglou snap-called for 565,000.
Ippokratis Aslanoglou: K♠K♣
Kevin Fluegel: A♣K♦
Fluegel was looking for an ace as the flop came 10♣6♠7♣, but Aslanoglou instead found the last king on the K♥ turn to make a set and leave Fluegel drawing dead. The river was the J♦ and Aslanoglou doubled up.
"Every time kings when you have ace-king?" a tablemate said to Fluegel, who laughed off the hit to his million-chip stack.
Andras Halasi opened to 50,000 from under the gun, and was faced with a three-bet jam from Inaki Gonzales in the small blind to 270,000. Halasi made the quick call.
Inaki Gonzales: A♥Q♠
Andras Halasi: 7♠7♥
It was off to the races, and Halasi remained ahead after the J♣9♦8♥ flop, although Gonzales picked up a gutshot, which covered Halasi's draw.
The J♥ turn paired the board and brought counterfeit possibilities for Halasi.
The 10♥ hit on the river to give both players a one-card straight, but Gonzales had the best end of it.
Majid Alimoradpour led out for 70,000 from the big blind on a flop of J♥9♠8♣ and Yakiv Syzghanov called in middle position.
Alimoradpour slowed down and checked the 5♠ turn, and Syzghanov bet 450,000, enough to put Alimoradpour all in. Alimoradpour tanked for a few minutes until the clock was called. His 30-second time had nearly run out before he called off his last 420,000.
Alimoradpour showed K♦J♣ for a pair of jacks, but Syzghanov turned over A♣A♦. The river was the 6♠ and Alimoradpour was sent to the rail.
At the same table, Jose Gomez has built up a stack of around 1,600,000.
Robert Seelen under the gun was all-in and at risk for 130,000 against Miroslav Matula in the big blind.
Robert Seelen: Q♣J♦
Miroslav Matula: 7♣7♠
Seelen flopped two pair on A♦A♣Q♠4♥10♦ and secured a double up.
Level: 24
Blinds: 10,000/25,000
Ante: 25,000
Heinz Traut opened to 45,000 from the hijack but Zoltan Vrancsik on the button three-bet to 115,000. The blinds folded and Traut called.
Both players checked the Q♣10♥8♦ flop and the 4♠ turn leading to the Q♥ river that Traut checked.
Vrancsik seized this opportunity to bet 115,000 and make Traut fold.
Bogdan Ilies shoved around 250,000 from the hijack and David Nemes put him at risk from the small blind.
Bogdan Ilies: K♥Q♦
David Nemes: 10♠10♦
Ilies had the overcards, and found one of them on the A♥9♠Q♥ flop to take the lead. No tens arrived on the 3♥3♣ runout, and Ilies doubled up, while Nemes dropped to below 200,000.
Michael Jaeggi raised from under the gun and Andrei Salceanu shoved from a few seats over for 255,000. When it got back to Jaeggi, he called.
Andrei Salceanu: K♦J♦
Michael Jaeggi: Q♣Q♦
Salceanu was looking for a king, but there were none in sight as the 2♥9♦8♠5♣9♥ runout meant he had to make the walk to the payout desk.
