Hu Triples Up

Level 27 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
David Hu
David Hu

David Hu opened to 255,000 from middle position. Georges Chehade, to his left, went into the tank and made the call, but Rifat Palevic in the small blind raised all in for roughly 1,600,000.

Hu waited as long as he could to reach the next pay jump. Another player was eliminated when the clock was called, and Hu called with his last 5,000 chip. Then it was Chehade's turn to act, and after a few seconds, the clock was called once again. He eventually chose to call off his last 280,000.

David Hu: A5 All in
Georges Chehade: A10 All in
Rifat Palevic: AK

Palevic kept the lead on the 2JJ flop and the Q river, but the 5 river gave two pair to Hu, who tripled up, while Chehade was eliminated by Palevic in the side pot.

Banda Sails to a Double-Up

Level 27 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Fernando Banda made it 475,000 from the button, leaving himself 40,000 behind. Marcin Kacprzak then shoved the big blind, and after around three minutes, Banda called off his stack.

Fernando Banda: 44 All in
Marcin Kacprzak: A5

Banda hadn't noticed, but had made the pay jump as he saw the AK3 flop hit the felt, which looked to be the end for him. However, he celebrated with a fist pump when the 4 on the turn gave him a set.

The hand wasn't over as Kacprzak couldn still hit a wheel, but that didn't happen as the 9 rolled in, earning Banda a double-up.

Bogdan Ilies moved all in for 735,000 in early position and Miroslav Matula reshoved for 1,450,000 in middle position. Action folded to Gabriel Rymar on the button who also moved all in, and the blinds got out of the way.

Bogdan Ilies: AQ All in
Miroslav Matula: AQ All in
Gabriel Rymar: AK

Rymar had both opponents dominated and was poised to score the massive double knockout as the flop came 654, but Matula spiked the 3 on the turn to make the nut flush. The river was the 10 and Matula doubled up off Rymar while sending Ilies to the rail.

"Very hot. Spicy," tablemate David Nemes said to Matula after the hand.
