Ochoa Runs Into Matula's Queens; Hu Stuns Palevic on the River

Level 28 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Cristobal Ochoa
Cristobal Ochoa

Miroslav Matula raised to 150,000 in early position, Cristobal Ochoa moved all in for 630,000 in the cutoff, and Matula called.

Cristobal Ochoa: A7 All in
Miroslav Matula: QQ

Ochoa was looking for an ace as Matula showed down a pair of queens. He picked up a straight draw going to the river on a board of 6443, but the 4 river was no help and he was sent to the rail.

At the same time at another table, Rifat Palevic had opened to 120,000 under the gun, then called when David Hu moved all in for 1,010,000 on the button.

David Hu: A9 All in
Rifat Palevic: 99

Hu was also looking for an ace, but it seemed he would have the same fate as Ochoa when the board came 10858. The river, though, was the A and Palevic shot back in his seat and let out a deep sigh as Hu spiked two pair to win the pot and double up.

Ippokratis Aslanoglou
Ippokratis Aslanoglou

Hueseyin Selcuk opened to 80,000 from under the gun and Ippokratis Aslanoglou shoved 1,020,000 from middle position. When the action got back to Selcuk, he thought for a few moments before he tossed in the call.

Ippokratis Aslanoglou: JJ All in
Hueseyin Selcuk: 99

Aslanoglou was in a great spot to double up, but things didn't go his way on the 295 flop as Selcuk made a set of nines. A jack is what Aslanoglou needed, but he didn't get it as the 77 runout left him on the sidelines.
