Julien Ghezala opened to 16,000 from the cutoff, and Rifat Palevic defended the big blind.

Palevic check-called in the face of continuation bet of 12,000 from Ghezala on the K♠8♦4♦ flop, leading to the 7♠ turn.

Palevic changed approach, leading out with a bet of 31,000, but was met with a raise to 76,000 from Ghezala. After quite a bit of thought, Palevic called.

The 2♠ hit on the river, and was quickly checked through. Palevic instantly sent his hand to the muck, and Ghezala took a chunky pot without having to show.

Henning Wendlandt opened to 16,000 from middle position, and was faced with a three-bet to 45,000 from Pawel Wojciechowski in the next seat. Action folded back to Wendlandt, who called.

On the K♦7♦6♥ flop, Wendlandt check-called in the face of a bet of 15,000 from Wojciechowski.

The 5♦ rolled off on the turn, and Wendlandt took the initiative and jammed for around 71,000.

Wojciechowski gave the spot a reasonable bit of thought, but ultimately sent his hand to the muck.

Zarghami Puts in a Five-Bet to Take Out Noubarian, Jakutis Gets Away

Emad Zarghami raised to 16,000 in early position and Laurynas Jakutis three-bet to 45,000 in the cutoff. Majid Noubarian then moved all in for 123,000 on the button and Zarghami five-bet to 275,000. Jakutis took a minute before folding.

"No ace," Jakutis said as the flop came K♥10♠4♥, giving Zarghami top set. "No jack," Jakutis added.

The 9♠ fell on the turn to give Noubarian his own set, but he couldn't find the one-outer on the Q♥ river and was sent to the rail. Jakutis then admitted he folded ace-queen.

"That was the last nine," another tablemate added.
