Zaitsev Gets There on the River to Bust Saka

Level 21 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Alain Saka moved all in for 144,000 in middle position and Mikhail Zaitsev reshoved for 330,000 in the cutoff. Mohamed Saeg was on the button and clapped his hands together as he leaned back in his seat to consider the decision. "Good timing," Saka joked with him.

Saeg ended up folding, while small blind Alexey Mishuk also pretended to call before also sending his cards into the muck.

Alain Saka: A10 All in
Mikhail Zaitsev: 1010

"Good spot," Saka said once the cards were revealed, and he was proven right when the AK9 flop gave him top pair. The turn was the 5, but the 4 river improved Zaitsev to a flush.

"Almost," Saka, who finished runner-up in this event in 2023, added as he went off to the rail.

Flush for Turc

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

The action was picked up on a board of 910A5 with Michael Aflalo in the hijack betting 60,000 and Alexandre Turc in the big blind raising all-in for 195,000. Aflalo made the call.

Alexandre Turc: K4 All in
Michael Aflalo: A5

Turc hit a flush on the turn, but Aflalo with two pair still had a nut flush draw. The Q river kept Turc in the lead and he doubled up.

Dan Hits the Flop, Rymar Smacks the River For a Bustout

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Gabriel Rymar
Gabriel Rymar

Gabriel Rymar raised to 30,000 in early position and Jakub Sterba three-bet to 90,000 on the button. Adrian Dan then moved all in for 325,000 in the small blind, Rymar reshoved, and Sterba folded.

Adrian Dan: 1010 All in
Gabriel Rymar: JJ

Rymar had Dan crushed with his jacks, but the K109 flop gave Dan the lead with a set. The 8 turn left him a card away from a double up, but Rymar spiked the J on the river to make a higher set and send Dan to the rail.

Matula Finds Tough River Call

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Miroslav Matula limped from early position, and Mateusz Kaniowski completed in the small blind, before Matan Mesika knuckled his option in the big blind.

Action was checked to Matula on the J64 flop, who fired out a bet of 25,000. Only Mesika called.

The 2 turn was checked to the J river, where Mesika led out with a bet of 40,000.

Mitula called after a bit of thought, and saw his 33 for two pair, jacks and threes, was good versus Mesika's A5.

Bahri Spikes a Set to Bust Aouraghe

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Safwane Bahri
Safwane Bahri

Safwane Bahri raised to 35,000 in the hijack, Hicham Aouraghe moved all in for 300,000 in the cutoff, and Bahri called.

Hicham Aouraghe: 55 All in
Safwane Bahri: 77

Bahri took an even bigger lead when the A67 flop gave him a set, leaving Aouraghe drawing only to running cards. The Q wasn't what he was looking for, and Aouraghe was already drawing dead by the 8 river.

"How could you call 300K?" he asked Bahri on his way to the payout desk.

Two For the Price of One For Palevic

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Rifat Palevic
Rifat Palevic

Iraklis Manikaros shoved under the gun for around 90,000 and Nadine Rohde shoved the small blind for slightly more. Rifat Palevic was in the big blind and called to both two players at risk.

Iraklis Manikaros: A6 All in
Nadine Rohde: AJ All in
Rifat Palevic: AK

Palevic had the goods and just needed to hold to score a double knockout. A flop of 2104 was good for him, and it was almost all over by the time the K hit the turn. Only a queen could save Rohde, but the 5 river wasn't it, which meant Palevic knocked out two opponents in one swoop.

Okay Aydin jammed from the button for 350,000, and Sergiu Cornea quickly moved all in from the small blind with the slightly covering stack,. forcing out the big blind.

Okay Aydin: 88 All in
Sergiu Cornea: AK

It was a fair fight, and Aydin looked to be heading for a double-up after the Q93 flop and 4 turn.

However the A hit on the river in cruel fashion to send Aydin to the rail.
