Pichierri Trips Bednar to the Rail; Pflock Falls to Salerno
Level 17
: Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Heads-up on a flop of 10♦10♠8♣, Alessandro Pichierri bet 15,000 from the button and Jan Bednar raised to 55,000 in the big blind. Pichierri called and the A♦ fell on the turn.
Bednar checked to Pichierri who bet 40,000, and Bednar called. The river was the K♠ and Pichierri moved all in. Bednar tanked for a few minutes until calling for his last 195,000. Pichierri showed 10♣9♣ for trips, and Bednar mucked A♥8♠ as he headed to the rail.
At another table, Pascal Pflock had shoved for his last 80,000 from the button and Elia Salerno called in the small blind.
Pascal Pflock: 3♣3♦
Elia Salerno: K♦10♦
Salerno hit top pair on the K♥8♠J♠ flop, while the rest of the board came 2♦Q♥ and Pflock was eliminated.
