Lopes' Huge Overbet Puts Litskan to the Test
Eduard Litskan raised to 1,600 from the hijack before Bruno Lopes made it 3,100 from the cutoff. Julian Lozano called from the button and Litskan tagged along.
The 8♥5♥10♣ flop checked through to the 2♦ turn. Litskan checked and Lopes bet 3,500. Lozano folded but Litskan remained sticky.
Litskan checked the 7♥ river, and Lopes made a huge overbet, moving all in for Litskan's stack of 54,500, which was around three times the pot.
Litskan went deep into the tank, agonizing over his options. He used up three time banks before calling.
"YESSSSSSS!!!!!!" Litskan screamed when Lopes could only show A♥Q♣ for ace-high. Litskan turned over his A♣7♠, meaning he called with just a pair of sevens. Lopes was left with around 18,000.
After snapping a photo of the hands, Litskan returned to his seat and apologized to Lopes for the emotion. Lopes was cool about it, and told him not to worry.
Also on the table is John Wasnock, the 2025 WSOP Main Event runner-up, and he's above the 60,000 starting stack.
