Siginc Doubles; Theuma Flying

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Jake Greenbaum raised from under the gun and Mehmet Siginc defended his big blind.

On the 95x3 flop, Siginc check-jammed for 7,100 over a bet of 1,000. Greenbaum reluctantly called.

Siginc was ahead with top pair, and doubled up after the 27 runout.

On one table over, WSOPE Event #1 winner Corel Theuma had already doubled his starting stack, and was looking to build it up even more.

With around 12,000 in the pot, on the 2653 flop, Theuma checked form the big blind before Michael Boguth fired out 5,100 from the cutoff. Theuma made it 17,800, sending Boguth into the tank.

"Can you beat two pair? asked Theuma, to which Boguth denied. The latter ended up folding, and Theuma showed he had it with 74. Boguth said he folded kings, to which Theuma complimented the play.
