McNicholas and Jones Battling
Oliver Heidel opened to 120,000 from the cutoff and was called by Steven Jones from the button. Michael McNicholas called from the big blind.
Heidel continued for 200,000 on the K♣7♣5♦ flop and was called in both spots. The 3♥ turn checked through to the 7♠ river. McNicholas and Heidel checked to put the action on Jones. He shoved as the bigger stack, with McNicholas and Heidel having 820,000 and 900,000 behind respectively.
McNicholas went deep into the tank, but ultimately slid chips forwards to call for his tournament life. Heidel quickly folded.
Jones was bluffing with 10♣8♣, and McNicholas' K♥8♥ was good to take the pot.
Two hands later, Jones opened to 120,000, but folded when his new rival three-bet to 360,000.
