Whitehouse's Journey Comes to an End

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Brad Whitehouse
Brad Whitehouse

PokerNews' Brad Whitehouse Main Event run has come to end, getting rivered in a pot close to 490,000.

The under the gun player raised to 8,000 from under the gun. Whitehouse and Yevhen Korynetskyi called before the small blind shoved for 31,000. He was called in all three spots.

It checked to Whitehouse on the 1076 flop, and he bet 40,000. Korynetskyi shoved as the big stack, folding out the original raiser. Whitehouse, who started the hand with 210,000, pondered his options before calling for his tournament life.

Under-the-gun: KQAll in
Brad Whitehouse: AJAll in
Yevhen Korynetskyi: 109

Whitehouse had a nut-flush draw and overcards to hit to stay alive. The J turn gave him the lead to become one of the chip leaders in the room, but the 8 fell on the river to give Korynetskyi the straight for the checkmark and double KO.

Moncek's Twelfth Bullet Comes to an End

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Michael Moncek
Michael Moncek

Michael Moncek was on his twelfth and final bullet of the €5,300 WSOPE Main Event when he found himself all in and at risk for around 75,000 against Day 1a chip leader Aliaksei Boika.

Michael Moncek: AAAll in
Aliaksei Boika: QQ

Moncek was miles ahead, and left Boika needing to go runner-runner after making a set on the A104 flop. The 6 turn gave Boika some hope with a flush draw, which came in when the 3 completed the board.

Moncek has used all of his reentries in the registration period, and will no longer be a competitor in the biggest WSOP Europe Main Event in history.
