Tall Man Grabs Big Stack

Karl Mahrenholz is a man who towers over six feet in height (sorry Americans, I don't know metric height measurements) so he normally looks a bit silly with a short stack. He fear not right now as a double-up has seen him rise to the top with over 90,000.

Jan Jochtmann raised from the cut-off and was only called by the Brit to go to a {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{q-Hearts} flop where the fireworks really went off. Jochtmann check-raised Mahrenholz's 2,000 bet to 7,000 before facing a raise to 24,000. His response was to move all-in and Mahrenholz called all-in for 46,000. Showdown:

Jochtmann: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades} for top two-pair and nut flush draw.
Seed: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for top set.

Mahrenholz seemed to hold his breath but he was soon able to exale as he faded all the outs through the {k-Diamonds} turn and {9-Clubs} river.
