Shak Attack Sinks Soulier

Fabrice Soulier
Fabrice Soulier

Fabrice Soulier is about as happy as a penguin in a microwave after losing with aces, aces and tens.

It was Allen Kessler who alerted us to the biggest of the three, the cliffnotes reading: aces versus queens, queen on the river.

Dan Shak was the man who took the 13,500 pot.

If that wasn't enough, Soulier exited moments later, {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} no good against {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} on a {K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} board.

Devilfish Aims for the World and Misses

Dave 'DevilFish' Ulliott
Dave 'DevilFish' Ulliott

Dave Ulliott is down to 7,000 after a failed bluff attempt versus Kamal Choraria. The board read {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Ulliott led for 1,200 from UTG and was called by Choraria on the button. Ulliott bemoaned his luck as he revealed the drawing to almost everything but ultimately ten-high {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. Choraria opened {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for the pot that helps him up to 16,500.

A Set-Up For Cunninhgam

A player opened and Allen Cunningham set him all-in from the blinds flipping {10-Hearts} {10-Spades} but dominated by his opponent's {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}.

The flop came {6-Clubs} {5-Spades} {3-Diamonds} and Matusow looked disappointed saying he folded {6-} {6-}. The {10-Diamonds} came on the turn to audible groans from the table and the {Q-Spades} river meant Cunningham eliminated the other and increased his own stack up to 7,300.

D'Ancona a Gonna

Piergiorgio D'Ancona was short-stacked and moved all-in for 850 from mid-position. Tomasz Gluszko was in the next seat and quickly moved all-in too. Everyone else folded to leave it as a heads-up showdown:

D'Ancona: {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
Gluszko: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The board ran {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs} to hand Glusko the pot at the expense of the Italian's tournament.

Feldman Finds Fold, Then Falls To Flip

Andrew Feldman managed to fold to a river push on a {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds} {3-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} only to be shown {8-Spades} {6-Spades} by his opponent who missed the flush but rivered a backdoor straight.

Soon after Feldman was all-in with {5-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} against {K-Clubs} {Q-Spades} but a queen hit the board and the young Brit was eliminated.

The tables in the Shadow room have started to break and it won't be too long into the next level that this room will be completely empty.
