Evdakov 2, Esfandiari 1

Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

The last time we reported on Nikolay Evdakov and Antonio Esfandiari the former was doubling-up through the latter. Since then it seems as if Esfandiari got some of those chips but the Russian has just doubled-up through him again prompting Esfandiari to say "Nice hand. That's two-one now".

The hand started with an Evdakov raise from UTG and three players called including Esfandiari in the BB. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Esfandiari led for 5,100. Evdakov raised to 12,000 and when it was folded back to Esfandiari he set Evdakov all-in for his last 29,000. Call.

Esfandiari: {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a nut flush draw.
Evdakov: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} for middle set.

The {5-Clubs}{10-Hearts} turn and river missed the American, sending the chips Russia's way. Evdakov has 66,000 to Esfandiari's 75,000 chips.
