Moreno Calls River For His Tournament Life

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Andrew Moreno
Andrew Moreno

Action folded around to Andrew Moreno, who limped in the small blind. Anthony Huntsman raised to 250,000 out of the big and Moreno came along.

The flop came {7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Both players checked.

The turn was the {j-Diamonds}. Moreno led with a bet of 390,000 which Huntsman called.

The river came the {10-Spades}. After a Moreno check, Huntsman shoved all in to put Moreno to the test.

Moreno took off his sunglasses and looked up, getting ready for a long tank. He studied Huntsman and replayed the hand in his head while looking at the board. After a few minutes, he placed a few chips in the middle for the call.

Huntsman immediately indicated "good call" and turned over the {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Moreno then tabled the winner, which was the {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for second pair, enough to take down the big pot.

Big Slick Does the Trick for Yaginuma

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Jaime Cervantes raised to 140,000 under the gun and action folded to Jesse Yaginuma, who three-bet jammed for 1.855 million from the big blind. Cervantes hit the tank for a couple of minutes before making the call.

Jaime Cervantes: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Jesse Yaginuma: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

It was a classic race but not after the flop fell {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{a-Clubs} to give Yaginuma a boat. The {7-Diamonds} turn left Cervantes drawing dead and he sent chips to his right after the meaningless {4-Spades} was run out on the river.

Pulusani vs. Admon

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Salim Admon raised to 135,000 from the hijack and was immediately met by a three-bet to 420,000 from Sandeep Pulusani in the cutoff. Action folded back to Admon and he called to see a {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} flop.

Admon check-called a bet of 400,000 and then both players checked the {5-Spades} turn.

When the {6-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Admon bet just 360,000 but that proved enough to get the job done as Pulusani folded.

Shing's Turn to Double

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

The reign of the short stacks continued as Philip Shing was the latest to stay alive via a double.

From the cutoff, Julian Milliard-Feral raised to 165,000. Shing was in the small blind and moved all in for about 850,000. Milliard-Feral called.

Shing was at risk with the {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} vs the {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}.

The flop sent him ahead as it came {9-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, the turn continued to be good to him as the {j-Diamonds} came off and the river was the {7-Spades} to secure the double for Shing.
