Pombriant Smashes the Flop

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

We caught the action on a flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} in a headsup pot.

After the first player to act checked Pombriant put out a bet of 16,000, which was called. Both players checked the {9-Diamonds} turn, and after the early position player checked again Pombriant bet 25,000 on the {2-Hearts} river, which got a fold. Pombriant then tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for the turned nutflush.

Shulman Gets Back His Blind and More

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The button player raised and was called by Barry Shulman from his small blind and the player in the big blind.

After the dealer spread a flop of {8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs} Shulman checked, the big blind player bet 15,000, the original raiser folded and Shulman made the call. The two remaining players then checked the both the {q-Clubs} turn and {4-Hearts} river and tabled their hands, with both holding ace-high. Shulman's ten kicker played and he scooped the pot.

Don't Miss the Upcoming Wynn Signature Series in January

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Wynn Poker Room
Wynn Poker Room

Players looking for some major live poker tournament action in January need to look no further than here at the Wynn with its Wynn Signature Series.

Taking place between January 15 and February 2, 2020 at the luxurious Wynn, Las Vegas, the festival guarantees more than $1.3 million will be won.

Massive $400,000 Guaranteed Event

The crown jewel of the Wynn Signature Series sees $400,000 guaranteed for a $1,100 buy-in.

This massive event features three starting flights, the first of which shuffling up and dealing at 12:00 p.m. on January 23.

Day 1B and Day 1C commence at the same time on January 24 and January 25 with the final day starting at 12:00 p.m. on January 26.

All three Day 1s see you sit down with 25,000 chips and play to 40-minutes blinds. The blinds remain the same on Day 2, too.

Should the $1,100 buy-in for this event be a little steep for your bankroll, Wynn is running two Super Satellites that only cost $200 to enter.

The first of these Super Satellites runs from 7:00 p.m. on January 23 while Day 1A of the $400,000 guaranteed event is running, while the second Super Satellite starts at 7:00 p.m. on January 24 while Day 1B is in full flow.

There was a $400,000 guaranteed $1,100 buy-in tournament that was part of the Wynn Fall Classic in October.

That particular event saw 473 entries battle it out for a slice of a $463,162 prize pool.

Sanket Desai banked $70,306 as part of a four-way deal with Eric Blair, Eric Baldwin, and Tamas Lendvai.

Here's a look at the festival's entire schedule:

Song-Carrillo

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

We picked up the action in a headsup pot on a board reading {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

The first player to act bet 10,000, only to be met with a huge three-bet to 100,000 by Leonardo Song-Carrillo, which sent the other player deep into the tank. After well over one minute he tossed in a calling chip and was dismayed when Song-
Carrillo tabled {9-Spades}{3-Spades} for the turned flush. The other player flashed the {6-Spades} before sending his hand to the muck.

Vuong Doubles Through Magnus

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Zach Vuong raised to 31,000 from middle position and left himself just 51,000 behind. Nadya Magnus then three-bet to 150,000 from the cutoff and action folded back to Vuong, who thought for nearly a minute before calling off.

Nadya Magnus: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Zach Vuong: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Vuong wouldn't catch an ace but the {3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades} flop was just as good as he made trip jacks to take the lead. Neither the {2-Diamonds} turn nor {3-Clubs} river changed a thing and Vuong shipped the double.

Joseph Cheong shoved his last 75,000 from early position and was called by Maria Konnikova on the button.

Joseph Cheong: {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Maria Konnikova: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, which was no help to Cheong and he was eliminated a few spots from the money.

Al-Keliddar Sent to the Rail

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Yaser Al-Keliddar shoved the last of his chips from early position, which got all the way through to Nadya Magnus in the big blind who made the call. Al-Keliddar had a pair, but unfortunately for him Magnus woke up with a much bigger pair which held on the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} runout and eliminated Al-Keliddar from the tournament late on day 2.
