Gorenc Tries to Collect Tran's Bounty

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Marty Gorenc
Marty Gorenc

Action folded around to JC Tran in the small blind and he moved all in for 200,000 even. Marty Gorenc was in the big blind and thought for a bit before making the call.

JC Tran: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Marty Gorenc: {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

The {6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop made things interesting by giving Gorenc a straight draw but Tran a flush draw to go with his overs.

The {q-Clubs} turn gave Tran the lead with a pair of queens, and he held through the {9-Diamonds} river.

"There you go," Gorenc said with a smile while giving Tran a fist bump.

Carodenuto Finds Three-Outer

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Carl Caroderuto
Carl Caroderuto

Carl Carodenuto jammed for 305,000 in early position and an opponent re-jammed from one seat over. Everyone else folded and hands were revealed.

Carl Carodenuto: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop changed nothing, but Carodenuto found a queen as the {q-Spades} hit the turn. The {7-Diamonds} completed the board to give Carodenuto life as he doubled.

Goldstein Doubles Twice in a Row

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Rob Goldstein
Rob Goldstein

A player in early position opened to 40,000, the cutoff called, and Rob Goldstein jammed in the small blind for 130,000 or so. Only the cutoff called.

Rob Goldstein: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

"No jack, no jack," Goldstein called out.

The {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop kept Goldstein ahead, although the {3-Spades} turn left him needing to fade more outs. He was now calling for a red card, and his wish was granted as the {5-Hearts} completed the board.

"Yeah, baby!" he said as his double was confirmed.

On the very next hand, the cutoff opened to 45,000 and Rob Goldstein jammed his 280,000 stack in on the button. The cutoff called.

Rob Goldstein: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Cutoff: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Goldstein had his opponent drawing dead on the turn as the board ran out {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Spades} and after a couple hands, he now has a healthy stack.

Zuidema Cracks Aces

Level 20 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Thibault Letort jammed in his 175,000 chips from middle position and action folded to Brandon Zuidema in the big blind. Zuidema was wondering if all of the big $100,000 mystery bounty prizes were still up for grabs and said he'd probably call either way. He did make the call and hands were revealed.

Thibault Letort: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Brandon Zuidema: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The {q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop changed nothing. The {j-Spades} turn gave Zuidema straight outs, and one of those outs hit as the dealer put down the {9-Diamonds} on the felt to crack the aces as the table erupted.

"This game is stupid," one person at the table commented.

Letort had no retort as he made his way to the payout desk and Zuidema collected the bounty.
