Kevin McKenzie Eliminated in 17th Place ($47,550)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Kevin McKenzie
Kevin McKenzie

Chris O'Neil raised to 200,000 from early position and then snap-called after Kevin McKenzie three-bet jammed for approximately 1.8 million from the cutoff.

Kevin McKenzie: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Chris O'Neil: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and that was all she wrote for McKenzie, who was left drawing dead after the turn.

Daniel Weinand Eliminated in 16th Place ($51,278)

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Daniel Weinand
Daniel Weinand

A series of preflop raises saw Daniel Weinand get his three million stack into the middle from the small blind and Thomas Eychenne called from the big blind.

Daniel Weinand: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Thomas Eychenne: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

It was a classic race as was Weinand ahead with his made hand and the {8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop gave him an open-ended straight draw.

Unfortunately for him, the {k-Hearts} fell on the turn pairing Eychenne and the {j-Spades} river ended his tournament in 16th place for $51,278.

On the other table, Chris O'Neil was eliminated in the same hand so the players split the difference of 15th and 16th place.

Chris O'Neil Eliminated in 15th Place ($51,278)

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Chris O'Neil
Chris O'Neil

There was heads-up action between Chris Moorman from early position and Chris O'Neil from the big blind with a {2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs} board showing.

With roughly 1,300,000 already in the middle, O'Neil check-called Moorman's 1,000,000 bet and the {j-Spades} completed the board on the river.

O'Neil checked his option once again then called off his 2,600,000 stack after Moorman fired out 3,000,000.

Chris O'Neil: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Chris Moorman: {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

O'Neil turned two pair but it wasn't good enough as Moorman flopped the flush and O'Neil took his exit.

On the other table, Daniel Weinand was eliminated in the same hand so the players split the difference of 15th and 16th place.

Jorge Consiglieri Eliminated in 14th Place ($54,778)

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Jorge Consiglieri
Jorge Consiglieri

Chris Moorman was riding his heater when he open-jammed from the button to put the shorter stacks in the blinds to the test. Jorge Consiglieri was in the big blind and opted to call off for around 1.1 million.

Jorge Consiglieri: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Chris Moorman: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

It was a race and Moorman pulled ahead on the {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. The running {a-Hearts} turn and {4-Diamonds} river made it a full house for Moorman and Consiglieri was ousted in 14th place.

Naor Slobodskoy Eliminated in 13th Place ($63,268)

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Naor Slobodskoy
Naor Slobodskoy

Jeremy Kottler raised to 250,000 from the button and called when Naor Slobodskoy three-bet jammed for 2.7 million from the small blind.

Jeremy Kottler: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Naor Slobodskoy: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop paired Slobodskoy's ace but it was no good as Kottler also made a set. The {2-Hearts} turn left the Day 1a chip leader drawing dead and he headed to the payout desk in 13th place after the meaningless {3-Diamonds} was run out on the river.

Craig Mason
Craig Mason

After losing a majority of his stack in the previous hand, Craig Mason raised all in for roughly 600,000 from the cutoff and Jeremy Kottler snap-called from the big blind.

Craig Mason: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Jeremy Kottler: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}

Mason jammed into Kottler's aces and the {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Hearts} runout did pair his king but it wasn't good enough as he took his exit in 12th place for $63,268.

Hassan Fares Eliminated in 11th Place ($73,518)

Level 29 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Hassan Fares
Hassan Fares

Shachar Haran raised to 250,000 from the hijack and was called by Chris Moorman from the cutoff before Hassan Fares three-bet jammed for 1,500,000 from the button.

The blinds folded with Haran folllowing suit while Moorman called after getting an official count.

Hassan Fares: {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}
Chris Moorman: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Fares was racing for his tournament life and kept the lead after the {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop hit the felt.

The {4-Diamonds} turn gave both player a Wheel draw while Fares held an open-ended straight flush draw but unfortunately for him, the {10-Spades} fell on the river pairing Moorman and ended his tournament.

Joel Wadsworth Jr Eliminated in 10th Place ($73,518)

Level 30 : 75,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Joel Wadsworth Jr
Joel Wadsworth Jr

Chris Moorman opened for 300,000 under the gun and Joel Wadsworth Jr three-bet jammed for 850,000 from the cutoff. Chris Smith then rejammed for 3.75 million from the button, both blinds folded, and Moorman got out of the way.

Joel Wadsworth Jr: {a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Chris Smith: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Wadsworth Jr's best chance of staying alive was to catch an ace, but that didn't happen as the board ran out a dry {6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

With that, the field is down to nine players who will redraw to the final table. Stay tuned for a look at the new seat draw.

After his elimination, "Rusty" came back to PokerNews to give a little shoutout to his mom "K" and the rest of the family.

Florin Pandilica
Florin Pandilica

Action folded to Florin Pandilica who raised to 450,000 from the button and Shachar Haran three-bet to 1,250,000 from the small blind.

Action folded back to Pandilica who four-bet all in for roughly 4,000,000 and Haran snap-called holding just a little bit more.

Florin Pandilica: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Shachar Haran: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

Pandilica woke-up with kings at the wrong time and things got worse after an ace appeared in the window on the {6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop.

The {7-Clubs} turn was even worse for Pandilica as it left him drawing dead and the {10-Spades} river ended his tournament in ninth place for $86,381
