Day 1b of the Wynn Fall Classic $3,500 Championship Begins at Noon

Welcome to Day 1b of the Wynn Fall Classic $3,500 Championship. Cards go in the air at 12 p.m. for the second of three opening flights in the flagship event of the Wynn Fall Classic.

A large field is expected this weekend to compete for the $3,000,000 guarantee. There were 341 players who showed up yesterday, with only 56 advancing. Some of the players to find a bag last night include Katie Lindsay, Kristen Bicknell, Naor Slobodsky, Chirs Moorman, Brain Hastings, Loni Harwood, Ryan Hughes, Jeff Madsen, Taus Lilius, and Stephen Song.

Players will start with 40,000 in chips and play 15 40-minute levels on Day 1 or until approximately 11% of the field remains. Day 2 continues on Monday, October 31 with ten 60-minute levels, and Day 3 will play on Tuesday, November 1 until there is a winner.

Late registration for each flight is available until the end of the dinner break, which concludes at the start of Level 10. Unlimited re-entry is available for both flights. Players that survive Day 1a may play Day 1b or Day 1c and their largest chip stack will advance to Day 2.

Miles Doubles, Then Scores Knockout

The action was found on the river with about 15,000 in the middle.

Victoria Livschitz had shoved all-in and Tony Miles was in the tank. After a minute, Miles made the call for his tournament life.

Livschitz turned over for a pair of aces, but Miles had it beat with for the broadway straight.

On the next hand, Miles and Livschitz got all the chips in the middle again, but with Livschitz at risk.

Forman Flopped Lucky Seven to Eliminate Fishman

The turn was no help to Fishman as he needed a jack to stay alive, but the completed the board on the river and ended his tournament.

Garosshen Flushes Ladies for Double

Kevin Garosshen was all in preflop from late position for 18,500 and was called by the button player.

Garosshen was behind needing help and found it after the flop paired his king while also giving him the club flush draw.

The turn completed Garosshen's flush leaving his opponent drawing dead to the river that secured his double-up.

Liu Doubles Moron

Ignacio Moron raised to 1,600 in the cutoff and he was called the player on the button, Qing Liu in the small blind and the player in the big blind.

On the flop, each player checked to the turn . Moron bet 5,000, the button folded, and Liu popped it up to 20,000. The big blind got out of the way and Moron called to put himself at risk.

Liu had the broadway straight with a jack-high flush draw, but Moron was already there with a king-high flush. The meaningless hit the river and Moron was awarded the pot.

Liu Shows Strength

There was a raise to 3,000 from early position and a call from the cutoff when Qing Liu three-bet to 15,000.

Both players came along to the flop . Action checked to Liu and stuck out a big bet of 75,000 and both players folded.

Liu has been crushing around town lately. He has a first, second, and fifth-place finish in the last two months, accounting for about $200,000.

Shing Eliminated by Liu

There was three-way action after a flop between Philip Shing from under the gun, Qing Liu from the button and the big blind player.

The big blind led out for 17,000 into and 40,000 pot and Shing raised all in for 47,000. Action was on Liu who three-bet over the top sending the player in the big blind deep into the tank.

After roughly six-minutes, a clock was called and the big blind quickly folded after the countdown began.

"No matter what happens good luck," Shing said to Liu just as the dealer dropped the on the turn.

Shing fell behind needing a jack but the completed the board on the river and ended his tournament.
