Srur Freerolls to Bust Stout

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Matthew Stout opened to 800 in middle position and Austin Srur three-bet to 2,400 in the cutoff. The action folded back to Stout, who called.

Stout checked on the flop of {10-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Srur bet 3,00. Stout check-raised to 8,500 and his opponent re-raised all-in. Stout snap-called with the smaller stack.

Matthew Stout: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Austin Srur: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

Both players had flopped the nuts with Broadway straights but Srur was freerolling as he could improve to a flush. The turn brought the {2-Hearts} to give him the flush and have Srur drawing dead heading to the {6-Hearts} river.

The 2022 Wynn Millions is a series comprised of 16 events with more than $15 million in guaranteed prize money. There's a tournament for just about any type of poker player — high stakes, mid-stakes, no-limit hold'em, pot-limit Omaha, bounty events, etc. And there are two seniors events for players aged 50 and above — $400 and $1,100.

From February 28-March 1, the $1,100 NLH Seniors $100K GTD attracted 246 runners and more than doubled the guarantee by creating a $239,850 prize pool.

Among those to finish in the top 27 and cash were David Levi (24th - $2,434), Lee Markholt (23rd - $2,677), Kathy Liebert (16th - $3,279), Bob Mather (13th - $4,147), Scott Epstein (7th - $7,771), and Curt Kohlberg (4th - $17,029).

After Andrew Robbins bowed out in third place for $24,585, the title came down to Las Vegas pros Mark Seif and Mitch Garshofsky. Ultimately it was the former who came out on top to claim the trophy and $60,610 first-place prize.

Rheem Shows Top Set

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Chino Rheem was on the button and saw a flop four ways in a single-raised pot.

The action checked to Rheem on the board of {j-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} and he fired a bet to take the pot down without contention as his three opponents folded.

It was clearly not the desired result as Rheem tabled {j-}{j-} for top set before raking in the small pot.

Riess Jams on Wheeler

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

With roughly 3,000 in the pot on a {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} completed board, Jason Wheeler had 6,000 committed to the pot and was facing a raise to 47,500 by Ryan Riess. Wheeler had approximately 35,000 behind and had a decision for his tournament life.

Wheeler tried to engage in some table talk, but Riess continued to look down and shuffle chips. After some time, the clock was called, and eventually, Wheeler laid down his hand to concede the pot to Riess.

One of the premier poker rooms in Las Vegas is Wynn Poker, a room that features 28 tables equipped with personal USB, a sports wagering window, and 37 65” high-definition televisions streaming live sporting events.

The room is a favorite among players thanks to professional staff, action-packed cash games, and popular tournament series under “The Wynn Classic” brand.

PokerNews often brings you all the latest in Wynn Poker action. You can find Wynn news, photos, videos, schedules, live reporting and see results all on PokerNews.com.

What is the Wynn Classic?

Few venues can pull off their own self-branded tournament series quite like The Wynn. The one-time festival has expanded into a series of “Wynn Classic” events held throughout the year, each offering different variants, buy-ins, etc.

When is the Wynn Classic?

There are several Wynn Classic events throughout the year. They’ve traditionally done three a year – The Wynn Spring Classic (March), The Wynn Summer Classic (May-July), and The Wynn Fall Classic (September-October) – but in 2019 added a fourth with The Wynn Winter Classic (December).

PokerNews and the Wynn Classic

Over the years, PokerNews has offered live updates from various Wynn Classic tournaments, including the inaugural Wynn Winter Classic and wildly popular The Wynn Millions.

History of the Wynn Classic

According to The Hendon Mob, the first-ever The Wynn Classic took place back in February/March 2007. The inaugural championship event featured a $10,000 buy-in and was won by Zachary Hyman for $729,033.

It was just a single festival each year through 2010, and then in 2011, the Wynn Summer Classic was added. The year after that, the Wynn Fall Classic was added and it became a three-times-a-year series until 2019, which is when the Wynn Winter Classic was added to the schedule.

Nasreddine Cracks Lin's Aces

Level 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Rania Nasreddine was in the big blind and saw a flop against Huy Nguyen and Ren Lin.

Nasreddine led out for 10,000 on the board of {9-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Nguyen folded, while Lin raised all-in from the button. Nasreddine called with a smaller stack.

Rania Nasreddine: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Ren Lin: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

It was a massive cooler as Lin's pocket aces were far behind the set of tens of Nasreddine, who held for a double-up as the board ran out {k-Diamonds}{9-Spades}. To make matters worse for Lin, it had been a one-outer as Nguyen noted that he folded ace-ten.
