Into the "Blindert"

Level 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Action was joined with the board reading {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and the pot having about 300,000 in it. Luke Blindert was in the tank from the big blind as he had a decision for his tournament life on his hands as Shannon Shorr had shoved all in from early position.

Eventually he decided to fold and Shorr took the pot.

Shorr Chips Up

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Shannon Shorr
Shannon Shorr

Shannon Shorr opened to 60,000 from under the gun and was called by a player in the cutoff as well as the big blind.

Shorr continued for 70,000 after the big blind checked to him on a flop of {2-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. That bet was enough to force the cutoff out of the hand but the big blind made the call to send the two remaining players to the turn.

The {k-Diamonds} turn saw the big blind take over the betting lead, firing off 100,000. Shorr, unconvinced, called.

Action went check-check on the {q-Clubs} river and Shorr showed down {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for a winner to move up past the 1,000,000 mark.

Kerri Rivers Bohmerwald Out

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Prabhakar Kerri
Prabhakar Kerri

There was a large pot of about 445,000 in the middle and the flop reading {8-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. Michael Boherwald slid forward a bet of 340,000. Prabhakar Kerri jammed all in and Bohmerwald called.

Bohmerwald had the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} which was ahead of Kerri's {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}. The turn was the {5-Hearts} but the river was cruel as the {9-Clubs} came off to bust Bohmerwald and give Kerri the big time pot.

Tedeschi Gets Bounty

Level 23 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn, Paul Tedeschi in middle position was involved in a hand with an early position player and the big blind, who was already all in. With a small sidepot in play and the board reading {10-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{4-Spades} the early position player checked and Tedeschi bet 150,000. After some consideration the early position player folded and the big blind was officially at risk.

Big Blind Player: {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Paul Tedeschi: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Tedeschi was ahead with ace high but his opponent did have an opportunity to win the main pot with two live cards heading to the river. The big blind was unable to improve on the {k-Spades} river, sending him to the rail while Tedeschi collected another bounty.
