Moraes Wins Four-Bet Pot

Level 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante
Rafael Moraes
Rafael Moraes

Rafael Moraes opened to 6,000 from early position and was called by a player in late position. The small blind then three-bet to 28,000. After some time, Moraes responded with a four-bet to 45,000. Only after the late position player folded was Moraes informed that he had made an illegal raise and so would be forced to raise to the minimum of 50,000. The small blind went into the tank and eventually decided to just call to generate a large pot prior to the flop being dealt.

The small blind checked after the {8-Spades}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} flop and Moraes continued for 12,000, which, small as it was, got his opponent to fold. "I'm either the best player in the world or the worst," mused the player in the small blind as he watched more than half of his original stack headed Moraes' direction.

Domination Rotation and Back For Ostapchenko

Level 15 : 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Andrew Ostapchenko
Andrew Ostapchenko

A player in middle position shoved for 65,000 and Andrew Ostapchenko re-jammed his larger stack from late position. The remaining players got out of the way and the middle position player was officially at risk.

Middle Position Player: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Andrew Ostapchenko: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Ostapchenko had his opponent dominated and looked set to win a big pot. That all changed after the {6-Spades}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop, causing Ostapchenko to raise his arms in frustration. He found immediate redemption, however, on the {a-Hearts} turn, with his opponent standing up even before the river card was dealt. The {10-Hearts} river completed the board and Ostapchenko managed to avoid the bad beat to build up a stack during the the final level of the night.
