Romero Scores Full Double Off Simpson

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
James Romero
James Romero

In a heads-up pot with 8,700 in the middle on a flop showing {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Spades}, Spencer Simpson checked from the small blind to James Romero in the big blind who bet out 6,500. Simpson quickly called and the dealer rolled the {2-Hearts} turn.

Simpson checked a second time and Romero took some time before announcing a bet of 12,000, which Simpson again made the call. On the {j-Hearts} river Simpson elected to move all in, covering the 15,500 remaining for Romero, who quickly called.

Simpson tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} for top pair while Romero scored the full double up with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for a flopped set.
