Yesterday saw 412 more entries join the action in Day 1b to bring to total to 754 over two days of play. With today being the last chance at a deep run, that number will be sure to skyrocket.

After the dust settled on Day 1b, Paul Snead managed to claim the chip lead position with a healthy stack of 474,000. Rounding out the top five include Mack Khan (469,000), Mark Seif (454,500), Michael Rossitto (435,500), and Justin Zaki (424,000).

The action will kick off at 12 p.m. noon local time with another ten 60-minute levels on the schedule for Day 1c. A starting stack will be worth 40,000 chips and the blinds will begin at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level six.

An unlimited number of reentries will be permitted throughout the day which makes for plenty of action right from the start. Late registration will remain open until the start of level nine. For any of those that make it through the day and put chips in a bag, they will be coming back for Day 2c on Tuesday, March 7th.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be back on the tournament floor to bring you all of the live updates throughout the day so make sure to stay tuned in.

Boivin's Pair is Best

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Thomas Boivin raised it up on the button and was called by both of the blinds. The flop came {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the big blind led out with a bet of 700. Boivin called and the small blind got out of the way.

The turn brought the {j-Clubs} and the big blind instantly shot out a bet of 1,400. Boivin still called and the {8-Hearts} landed on the river. Both players tapped the table and the big blind showed {a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} while Boivin tabled {7-Spades}{4-Spades} to win the pot.

Zajdner Takes Blind On Blind Battle

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The action folded to Mark Zajdner in the small blind who opened the action to 600 and John Mahler came along in the big blind.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Zajdner continued with a bet of 500, which Mahler called. On the {5-Diamonds} turn Zajdner kept the same size with a bet of 500. Mahler elected on a raise to 1,000 and Zajdner quickly called.

The {q-Clubs} completed the board and both players checked to a showdown. Mahler rolled over {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a pair of fives, but was no good against the {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for Zajdner that took down the pot.
