Wednesday (June 11), was all about the $1,600 No Limit Hold’em event at the 2025 Wynn Summer Classic.
The final two flights of the $2,500,000 guaranteed event dominated the Wynn’s tournament space while the last two tables of the $10,000 Seniors No Limit Hold’em event played down to a winner.
Phong Nguyen Wins Seniors Event After Three-Way Chop
Ernest Bush came into the final day of the $10,000 Seniors No Limit Hold’em event with an overwhelming chip lead. His stack contained 1,178,000 in chips while the next biggest stack (in front of Michael Lang) contained just 616,000.
At the bottom of the pile, Konstantinos Nanos had the small stack with 113,000 in chips in front of him.
Despite his paucity of chips, Nanos was able to hang in on the felt while Michael Farris (10th - $23,750) and Curt Kohlberg (11th - $23,750) were knocked out, bringing the field down to the final table.
When the final table eventually reached the final three players, they struck an agreement for an even split. As a result of this deal, Phong Nguyen , Ernest Bush, and Jun Liu all earned $186,026 each.
Then they played on with Nguyen emerging as the final winner, earning himself one of the huge Wynn Summer Classic trophies to go with the cash.
