McCully & El Harrak Headline Wynn's Thursday Action
The summer of poker rolled on in style at the Wynn last night, with two more champions added to the Wynn Summer Classic honor roll.
Congratulations to Australia’s Joshua McCully and America’s Said El Harrak, who captured titles in the $3,000 PLO PKO $300K GTD and $1,100 NLH Turbo $100K GTD, respectively.
Wizard of Oz McCully Takes PLO Crown
Yesterday’s $3K PLO PKO at the Wynn drew 325 entries, easily surpassing its $300K guarantee to generate a prize pool of $877,250. When the dust settled, it was Aussie pro Joshua McCully who emerged victorious, earning $99,936 and the lion’s share of the prize pool.
McCully, who boasts more than $2.2 million in live tournament earnings and currently ranks 23rd on Australia’s all-time money list, secured the title after navigating a tough final table that featured, among others, 2024 $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo bracelet winner James Chen.
