Julien Duvea Bags Largest Day 1b Stack in $1,100 NLH
Jessica Vierling bagged the biggest stack by a wide margin on Day 1a of the $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em tournament. After the Day 1b session on Friday, she's still in a commanding lead, but not by as much.
Julien Duvea had a big session in the $500,000 guaranteed Wynn Millions tournament. Vierling ended her opening flight with 1,025,000 chips, nearly twice her nearest competitor that day. Duvea, on the other hand, concluded Day 1b with 778,000, most out of the 231 playerrs who entered the session, 31 of whom advanced to Day 2, which takes place on Sunday at Wynn Las Vegas.
Many of the top 10 stacks from Day 1a have dropped down after the second flight quite a few players bag even bigger stacks. That includes Kfir Nahum, who is third behind Vierling and Duveau with 573,000 chips. Sean Clancy also put up a strong performance on Friday, finishing with 531,000 chips, good for fourth place.
The tournament is up to 351 entrants with Day 1c, the final opening session, scheduled to begin at noon on Saturday. The pot has reached $338,715, only $161,285 away from the guarantee.
One additional tournament — $200 No-Limit Hold'em Turbo ($10,000 guaranteed) — kicks off at 6 p.m. from inside the luxurious Las Vegas Strip resort.
