While PokerNews is here offering live updates from the Mystery Bounty, we’d be remiss if we didn’t tell you about some of the side events that have taken place out over the past month at the Wynn Summer Classic.

One of them wrapped last night in the $3,000 buy-in, $100K GTD Pot-Limit Omaha event, a tournament that attracted 146 runners and crushed the guarantee by offering up a $407,340 prize pool.

In the end, it was the UK's Benny Glaser, a three-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner, who collected every chip in play to capture the first-place $70,641 payday.

Strelitz Spikes River Three Outer on Wilkie to Burst Bubble

Level 17 (4,000/8,000/8,000)

It was a dramatic money bubble in the Wynn $1,600 Mystery Bounty as there were four different all-in hands at different tables. They played out one-by-one, and for the first three the short stacks all doubled.

On the last, MSPT champ Steve Wilkie was all in for approximately 225,000 and primed to double through Daniel Strelitz.

Steve Wilkie: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Daniel Strelitz: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}

Wilkie was a big favorite and the {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop wasn't much of a threat. The {8-Diamonds} turn was a safe card and all Wilkie needed to do was dodge a nine on the river to stay alive. Unfortunately for him, that proved easier said than done as the {9-Diamonds} spiked to burst the bubble.

Wilkie leaves empty-handed while the remaining 152 players are guaranteed a minimum payday of $2,509.

$25,000 X 2 for Jiehao Zhu

While Michael Ung won $50,000 by drawing a single bounty, Jiehao Zhu has won the same amount, albeit by combining two bounties. That's right, Zhu drew now one, but two $25,000 bounties already here in the early goings. That means he's claimed two of the five $25K bounties up for grabs.
