FanDuel Announces Multi-Year Partnership With Formula 1
Fans of online gaming and in-person racing rejoice: FanDuel has been named as an official betting operator of Formula 1.
The multi-year partnership, which was announced on Monday, marks the first time the premier European racing brand has partnered with a United States betting operator. As part of the partnership, FanDuel will offer "responsible gaming content tailored for F1 fans."
"Being named an Official Betting Operator of Formula 1 marks an exciting step forward as we enhance our sportsbook product to deliver more interactive experiences for fans," Karol Corcoran, Managing Director of FanDuel Sportsbook, said in a press release. "Formula 1 generates an incredible amount of real-time data, and our platform is built to turn that into engaging betting opportunities for fans. This partnership will allow us to deliver even more immersive, data-driven experiences throughout the race weekend."
Historic Racing Partnership
Though it may be the first partnership with an American betting operator, this isn't the first Formula 1 collaboration with a Flutter Company. When Formula 1 returned to Las Vegas in 2023 for the first time since the 1980s, PokerStars partnered up with Oracle Red Bull Racing and launched several promotions offering players the chance to win passes to the iconic race.
That partnership led to several memorable moments, including charity poker tournaments at Resorts World Las Vegas attended by the likes of Simpsons voice actor Hank Azaria, as well as a poker media Q&A with racing superstar Max Verstappen.
There were also plenty of festivities in the Red Bull VIP Suite, which had several members of the PokerStars and PokerNews teams in attendance, including broadcasters James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton.
As part of the partnership, fans will have the chance to bet on race winners, podium finishes and even specific driver match-ups. And now that PokerStars is partnered up with FanDuel, it wouldn't be surprising to see some F1 promotions on the poker side of things.
"We're delighted to welcome FanDuel as our new Official Betting Operator in the United States and Canada - markets that continue to increase their love and engagement with Formula 1," said F1 Director of Commercial Partnerships Jonny Haworth. "As sports betting becomes an increasing component with how fans, especially in the US, interact with sport, it's vital we have a strong and well-placed partner to deliver our strategy and fuel our momentum across the market. With tens of millions of fans across the country, FanDuel is yet another avenue that eligible fans can enjoy and experience the thrill of Formula 1."
The 2026 Las Vegas Grand Prix is scheduled to take place Nov. 19-21 and should feature plenty of FanDuel branding. PokerNews has attended and reported on the race in previous years.
