Treasure Island Hotel & Casino, a mainstay on the Las Vegas strip for more than three decades, has seen a large amount of foot traffic through its doors over the past few days, to claim one of the most generous bonuses the city has ever seen.

That bonus, which began on Monday afternoon, consisted of no less than $200 in free play that can be used on any slot machine in the building, of which there are over 1,700. Hopefuls were queuing up for extended periods while the offer was still active in order to secure a new Treasury Club Rewards card: the only prerequisite to receive the bonus credit.

Six Hour Queues at Treasure Island

One player documented a six-hour wait in line to secure the card and credit.

However, not all had to get in line, as this offer was open to both new and existing members of the rewards scheme, meaning those already in possession of a card simply had to present it at a casino floor kiosk and opt to activate the free play on offer. The rarity of such a lucrative offer, which wasn't only for new players, made it all the more attractive.

Once activated, the only restrictions were that the credit must be used in its entirety before any funds can be paid out and that it must be spent within the following 24 hours. Other than that, players were welcome to try their luck on any machine at any stake, with no additional stake required.

The offer wasn't set to last forever; it was originally available Monday - Wednesday and was limited to one per player.

Offer Pulled After Just Three Days

The bonus credit offer was originally advertised as running through September 7, but it lasted just over two full days before the casino pulled the rug, citing that the offer's capacity had been reached.

Plenty were still queueing up Wednesday evening when it was announced that the offer was coming to an end, and many were told that they could still claim the reward if they had begun to line up before the cutoff was announced. That being said, many hopefuls were later told that they could no longer receive the bonus, despite having waited for quite some time.

The total given out over the three days is thought to be up to seven figures.

What Casino Games are at Treasure Island?

Despite no longer having a poker room following its closure in 2018, Treasure Island still has a huge range of table games to choose from, including blackjack, roulette, and ultimate hold'em, alongside its wide array of slots that have been very busy over the past few days.
