Downtown Las Vegas isn't best known for high-limit slots, but the Plaza Hotel & Casino is hoping to change that after opening a new room dedicated to such machines. The new 2,000-square-foot room occupies the space where Brightside Breakfast & Burgers once stood.
The new high-limit room houses 53 slots, each equipped with Acres Cashless Gaming, enabling patrons to use electronic payment methods, including Apple Pay. Those playing in the new room can also enjoy a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage station, lounge seating, and a concierge desk.
Plaza CEO Explains the Thinking Behind the New High-Limit Room
"With the new High Limit Slots Room, we wanted to not only provide the newest and most popular games with higher limits but also focus on personalized customer service, such as hotel check-in and a dedicated concierge desk," CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino Jonathan Jossel said in a press release.
"The Plaza continues to diversify its offerings to meet the changing needs of our guests. We specifically have seen our slots business continue to grow as we are welcoming more higher-end players, and many of our longstanding guests have asked for this gaming amenity."
Special Grand Opening Slots Tournament
To celebrate the official grand opening of the High Limit Slots Room, the Plaza has joined forces with Travel Ruby, a social media influencer. Together, the Plaza and Ruby will host a $10,000 slot tournament on August 28-29.
Additionally, anyone who earns 1,000 slot points on August 29 is entered into a prize draw to win a Virgin Cruise Experience for two.
The Plaza Continues Improving Its Amenities and Services
The new high-limit room is the latest in a raft of changes and improvements at the Plaza Hotel. In recent times, the hotel has added an outdoor Carousel Bar, PinkBox Doughnuts, no-smoking gaming areas, and it welcomed in the Hogs & Heifers Saloon Bar when it left its home on Downtime 3rd Street in mid-2025.
The Plaza also brought back its all-inclusive rooms offer for the period between June 1 and August 31, 2026, following its excellent reception in 2024. Guests can enjoy free early check-in, waived resort fees, bottomless drinks from the Omaha Bar and Sports Books Bar, plus breakfast and dinner from various dining outlets, with prices starting at $104 per person per night.
