In the 2010 edition of the Battle of the Forums, the top 2 positions were won by PokerNews teams. It was PokerNews Bulgaria who took down the huge $21,000 first prize, while PokerNews Lithuania took down second place and an equally impressive $13,000. We would like to see a PokerNews team taking down the title again, so make sure you take part and show all the critics and fan boys that PokerNews has what it takes to be the best.
How the Battle Works
The Battle of the Forums will take place between Nov. 27 and Dec. 4 on Bwin Poker and will feature an impressive $40,000 prize pool. All players need to do is log in to the Bwin using their user ID, select ”Scheduled tournaments” and then look for the ”Battle of the Forums” list. Players will then need to register using their team’s exclusive password.
In order to take part in the Battle of the Forums (BoTF), players must play in a $5+0.50 qualifier tourney, which has a minimum requirement of 10 players. The qualifiers will payout using a standard payout structure, but it is the BoTF Finals ticket which players will be looking to win! For every 10-99 players who take part in the tournament, the top 5 players will win tickets to the BoTF Final and form as a team. If the qualifier tournament has 100 or more participants, then it will be the top 10 players who receive a ticket to the final, with positions 1-5 forming one team and positions 6-10 forming another team.
Each player in the team will be awarded a freeroll ticket to the BoTF Final, which will consist of five simultaneous tournaments. These Finals will take place on Dec. 4 and each player will receive points based on their performance. The points will then be tallied up between each tournament and the team which score the most points will win the most cash from the BoTF! The tournaments will be open 12 hours before the start time and you can see below to find out how much your team could be sharing in from the huge prize pool!
