On Thursday, the World Poker Tour reported that former Poker After Dark hostess Marianela Pereyra would take over WPT anchor duties while Kimberly Lansing is on maternity leave. Marianela’s first event will be the WPT Venice televised final table from Feb. 6 through 11, 2012.

“The innovative position of WPT Anchor is integral to the World Poker Tour, and Kimberly Lansing has done a fantastic job establishing this role,” said WPT President Adam Pliska. “Marianela has impressive experience in the poker community and we know she’ll fit right in with the WPT family.”

In addition to having hosted PAD, Marianela has covered events for outlets such as ESPN, CBS Sports and Fox Sports; moreover, she served as a VJ for FUSE TV.
