Hachem Selects Warne, Hinrichsen & Yong to Round Out Caesars Cup Team Asia-Pacific

Earlier this week, 2005 World Series of Poker Champion Joe Hachem selected five-time WSOP gold bracelet winner Jeff Lisandro and Australia's top all-time female money earner Jackie Glazier as the first two players to join him on Team Asia-Pacific for the upcoming WSOP Asia-Pacific Caesars Cup, a made-for-television, invite-only event that pits three regional teams (Team Americas, Team Asia-Pacific and Team Europe) against one another. Hachem has now announced that Shane Warne, Andrew Hinrichsen and Richard Yong will round out the team.

In addition to Hachem, who is the team captain, only four players are allowed to compete, meaning one of his selections will have to serve as an alternate. Here are some career highlights regarding Hachem's latest selections.

Shane Warne — When it comes to celebrity in Australia, few have attained the level of fame as legendary cricketer Shane Warne, who retired after the 2006-07 series. Among his awards are Wisden Cricketer of the Year in 1994, One-Day International Player of the year in 2000, and Test Player of the Year in 2006. In 2008, Warne became a sponsored pro on Team 888, which he is representing at the WSOP APAC. Warne's most notable accomplishment came in the 2010 Victorian Poker Championships AUD$10,000 NLHE High Stakes Event where he finish third for AUD$40,000.

Andrew Hinrichsen — The Melbourne native has $877,233 in career earnings of which $209,183 has come from the Asia-Pacific region. Hinrichsen made a name for himself in 2011 when he won his first gold bracelet in the WSOP Europe €1,000 No Limit Hold'em event for $197,748.

Richard Yong — A businessman from Asia, Yong is often seen on the tournament circuit in the largest events in Asia and Australia. Yong is also rumored to be one of the players from the famed Macau cash game that has become the most talked about live game in the world. Yong has $2,683,332 in career tournament earnings off three scores: eighth in the $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop for $1,237,333; second in the €100,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller at Aspers in London for $924,140; and third in the 2012 WSOP Europe €50,000 Majestic High Roller for $521,859.

Team Americas captain Phil Ivey has already filled out his roster, but Team Europe captain Sam Trickett has yet to make any selections. The WSOP APAC Caesars Cup will take place this Sunday, April 14.
