60 Satellite Players Confirmed for PPC Aruba Main Event

Radisson Aruba

The Players Poker Championship Aruba World Championship will take place Oct. 2-9, 2013 at the Radisson Aruba Resort, Casino & Spa, and the series will play host to eight events. The marquee feature event is the $200,000 guarantee Main Event, which already has 60 confirmed satellite entrants as well as several top pros such as Joe Serock and Ronnie Bardah.

In speaking with the PPC, over 100 players have already booked hotel rooms for the event, meaning the $200,000 guarantee should be easily met. There's much more than just poker in Aruba, though.

On Thursday, Oct. 3 will be the Gusto VIP Party, held across from the Radisson at Gusto Aruba Bar. This event will be hosted by Serock, former World Poker Tour Player of the Year, take place from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. local time, and has a special designated VIP area upstairs.

After a night of partying, you can catch all the rest and relaxation you need on Eagle Beach, one of the most spectacular beaches on the island and in the world. Eagle Beach is the widest beach in Aruba, with soft white sand and crystal clear Caribbean water. One is invited to simply lay back and enjoy the rays of the sun, relax under one of the huts, or get adventurous through a variety of motorized water sports.

One of the motorized water sports is the high-speed tubing that can be done out across the Caribbean. This exhilarating adventure was a hit amongst players last year and will surely be something you'll want to jump on this year as well, but please, hold on tight.

If going deeper into the Caribbean is more your thing, then you might want to check out the Atlantis Submarines Expedition Tour. This tour provides you with the chance to get up close with the Aruba marine life at depths of up to 130 feet.

Furthermore, the beautiful island of Aruba offers offshore fishing, scuba diving, and windsurfing and paddle boarding. There's also plenty of beach volleyball courts or oceanside bars on the beaches.

"Over the past few months things have just taken off. Our domestic PPC Poker Tour is sending players from all over the country and player buzz for this year's PPC Aruba is hot," said Sandy Swartzbaugh, PPC Commissioner. "A solid Main Event guarantee, lots of satellited players, plus Aruba is a winning equation. We've always stated, this isn't just a poker tournament, it's a "Poker-Cation."

With the event just under three weeks away, there's no better time than now to book your trip to Aruba for the PPC Aruba World Championship. For booking options, please click here. Remember, PokerNews will be on hand for the event, and we hope to see you there!
