  • Antonio Esfandiari was announced as the latest partner of the yet to be launched Poker Central television network, joining fellow poker superstars Daniel Negreanu.

On Wednesday, May 6, Poker Central announced that poker superstar Antonio "The Magician" Esfandiari has partnered up with the soon-to-be-launched television network.

The announcement was made in a press release by Poker Central and comes off the heels of Daniel Negreanu also joining the network as a partner last week.

Esfandiari is well known by the poker enthusiasts for his good humor and unpredictable nature, and was the focus of the poker world when he won the largest cash prize in the history of the game by shipping the World Series of Poker Big One for One Drop in 2012 for $18,346,673.

This win propelled Esfandiari into first place on all-time money list, but later on Negreanu jumped back in front after finishing in second place in the second edition of the WSOP Big One For One Drop.

Poker Central, which plans to launch its around-the-clock poker programming schedule by the end of 2015, is understandably excited about the new partnership with Esfandiari.

"We are thrilled to add Antonio to the Poker Central team," said Poker Central CEO Clint Stinchcomb. "Antonio is beloved in the poker community, and will be a great asset in launching our 24/7 poker network."

According to the Poker Central press release, Esfandiari is equally thrilled about joining Poker Central.

"I'm excited to help launch Poker Central," said Esfandiari. "Soon, 24/7 poker will be available all over the world."

Esfandiari also shared his excitement of joining Poker Central to his his 175,000 Twitter followers.
